At the presentation of the ” German Camera-Prize 2013 ” Uli M Schueppel will give the laudatory speech for the award winner Philipp Baben der Erde.
The award-ceremony will be broadcasted on German-television (WDR, SWR, SR and EinsFestival).
On FLUX.FM – Radio there will be an extensive talk with Uli M Schueppel on his life, the independant filmmaking and the online-release of his films in the 2hours-programme “Spreeblick”.
The documentary-essay Jahre der Kälte (Frozen Stories) by Uli M Schueppel will be screenend in the film-series “Back to Start” at Lichtblick-Cinema, Berlin on Wednesday, June 26 at 10:15pm.
Uli M Schueppel will give a Q&A after screening.
Frozen Stories portrays in a highly personal and formally unconventional way a cautious uncovering of a hidden aspect of his family- and at the same time, postwar German history.

15 classics of the German Film- and TV-Academy new seen
The Berlin-cinema Lichtblick-Kino presents some “outstanding and historical significant films of the DFFB”, which has been newly digitalised with the support of Deutsche Kinemathek. Beside works by Wolfgang Becker, Harun Farocki, Wolfgang Petersen, Angela Schanelec or Hannes Stöhr, there will be also shown “THE ROAD, to God Knows Where” by Uli M Schueppel.

On May 26. at 22h Uli M Schueppel will be present at the screening.
Film-essay by Uli M Schueppel on the european dream about Africa, and at the same time the tanzanian vision into german living-rooms. In this process the film tells the distance, the ditch, the space in between – but it also gives a view to the other side. A projection – from both sides.
After the sucessful Berlinale-premiere this year, the new film by Uli M Schueppel will start officially in German cinemas from Sept. 19th.
On Sept 14th a pre-premiere will be held in Wuppertal, the birthplace of Caspar Brötzmann, which will be followed by a regular concert of “Caspar Brötzmann Massaker “.
Sept. 19th the Berlin-premiere takes place in “Eiszeit-Kino”. Caspar Brötzmann will perform a small solo-set and Uli M Schueppel will have a talk about the film. The same special-event will take place in Cologne on Sept. 21st.
Sept. 22nd the “Werkstatt-Kino” in Munich will organize a film-talk with Uli M Schueppel. Parallel to the new film, Werkstatt-Kino will show in their regular program THE ROAD, to God Knows Where , a documentary by Uli M Schueppel with Nick Cave (1990) and a selection of filmsSchueppel has chosen on the theme of “music”.
Nationwide the film will be shown from Sept. 20th in cinemas of the following cities:
