(A huge thanks to Erik Mitjans for designing and preparing the new page!)

Film-essay by Uli M Schueppel on the european dream about Africa, and at the same time the tanzanian vision into german living-rooms. In this process the film tells the distance, the ditch, the space in between – but it also gives a view to the other side. A projection – from both sides.

About the Berlinale-Trailer/Opener:

– DIE ZEIT, Ijoma Mangold (23.Feb.2012):
“At the Berlinale you do everything imaginable for not being too late in the cinema hall, for not missing the Festival-Opener. It is not easy to describe, why this opener has something so celebratory. It is accompanied with a kind of minimalistic, cool music, where the beat moves on, meanwhile the sponsors get shown, before it says ‘The Festival presents’. You would think this is a banal process – but somehow here so exhilarating…” BERLINALE.DE
